Dewan Taman Kejora (Community Hall), Alor Gajah, Melaka — Open in Google Maps ↗
Mixed martial arts for teens, taught as a system rather than a ritual. Our class for ages 13–17 runs at Dewan Taman Kejora in Melaka: real striking mechanics, hard conditioning, and practical self-defence — with no belt exams and no grading fees.
Teenagers carry a lot: exams, social pressure, screens. Ninety minutes of supervised, high-output training is one of the few outlets that burns all of it off and leaves a measurable skill behind.

What Mixed Martial Arts for Teens Actually Teaches
- Striking mechanics. How to generate force through kinetic chain alignment and rotation — not by swinging harder. Correct mechanics are also what keeps growing joints safe.
- Practical self-defence. Distance management, situational awareness, and how to exit a confrontation. The first skill we teach is not throwing a punch; it is not being there.
- Conditioning built for growing bodies. Bodyweight strength, agility work, and stamina circuits scaled to age rather than borrowed from an adult programme.
- Composure under pressure. Pad rounds teach a teenager to keep thinking while tired and uncomfortable. That transfers well beyond the hall.

Who Is This For?
Our mixed martial arts for teens programme suits four kinds of family:
- Teenagers aged 13–17 who want a real sport outside the school curriculum
- Teens building functional strength and athleticism, from any starting fitness level
- Parents who want practical martial arts for teens without grading fees, belt politics, or outdated rituals
- Younger siblings are covered too — see Junior Warriors (9–12) and Kids Foundations (5–8)
Safety Rules Parents Should Know
Safety is the first question every parent asks about mixed martial arts for teens, so it is stated plainly here rather than buried in the small print:
- No hard sparring. It is prohibited for beginner and intermediate teens. Full stop.
- Head contact is not part of the syllabus. Any scenario work is light touch, supervised, and about timing and distance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a traditional martial arts class with belts and katas?
No. We do not use belts or forms. Training follows the 200+ FCS framework: practical kinetic movement, dynamic striking mechanics, and functional conditioning. Progress is measured by what your teen can execute, not by what colour belt they bought.
Will my teenager be sparring?
Hard sparring is prohibited for beginner and intermediate teens. Training is technical drills, pad work, and controlled light touch-sparring for timing and distance — without the concussion risk that comes with full contact.
How fit does my teen need to be to join?
Any level. The programme scales to the individual, and the early conditioning blocks exist precisely to build the stamina, agility, and core strength that are missing at the start.
Is mixed martial arts for teens safe at this age?
Trained this way, yes. The risk in combat sport comes almost entirely from repeated head contact and from bad mechanics under load — we remove the first and correct the second. Sessions are capped in size so nobody trains unobserved.
What happens if a class has fewer than 6 students?
We notify you in advance and either merge the booking into the next available session or transfer your deposit. Your deposit is never lost.
Can a parent stay and watch?
Yes, especially for a first session. Most parents watch once, then use the time for something else.
